Strategic notes

Versus 3-bets
  • Call: Continue selectively in position or from the big blind when the range and price support the draws.
  • Fold: Do not overvalue the blocker against a tight 3-bet range.
  • Jam: Use a short-stack reshove only when the range chart selects it.
Versus 4-bets
  • Fold: Strong 4-bet value ranges leave little clean equity.
  • Continue rarely: A favorable short-stack price can justify an exception.
  • Avoid automatic calls: Wheel potential does not erase the strength of a value range.
Post-flop playability
  • Value line: Continue with a wheel draw, nut-flush draw, or pair plus draw.
  • Control line: With only a weak top pair, prefer checks against ranges containing better aces.
