Ten-Three Offsuit

T3o has the same ten-high value as T2o, but its three is a slightly better kicker and gives a few more straight connections. Those gains remain too small for normal preflop play. Fold to voluntary action and avoid building pots around a weak ten.

Check back often and call only a small bet against a wide range. Better tens dominate your top pair.

Open-ended straight draw

The 3 with 4-5-6 gives eight straight outs on a clean turn. Continue when the price and position support it.

Paired high board

Check-fold without a straight draw. A board such as Q-Q-2 gives T3o no pair and little bluff leverage.

Strategic notes

Versus 3-bets

Fold: T3o has too little equity and no blocker worth turning into a bluff-catch.
Do not continue for the kicker alone: A weak ten remains vulnerable against a tight 3-bet range.

Post-flop playability

Check back marginal tens in position: Keep the pot small unless the board also gives you a strong draw.
T3o is connected only on a narrow set of low flops. Treat an open-ended draw as a board-dependent exception, not as a general property of the hand.
Out of position, check-fold more often: T3o realizes poorly when the aggressor can keep betting.
