T7o has more connectivity than T6o, but it remains offsuit and its Ten is often dominated. Fold to standard opens outside rare big-blind price spots. Position matters because a weak top pair is easier to control when acting last.

Complete miss

On A♦ K♣ 2♥, fold to a bet without a pair or straight draw.

Strategic notes

Versus 3-bets

Fold: T7o should not defend against a standard 3-bet.
Avoid the gutshot illusion: One inside straight draw rarely compensates for the lack of a flush draw.

Post-flop playability

Protect a Ten pair: Against a tight range, check back more often than building a large pot.
Count only actual draws: On 9♣ 8♦ 2♠, T7o has an open-ended straight draw to a Six or Jack.
Fold a bare Seven to pressure: The pair is usually behind better pairs and higher draws.
