Q5s is the strongest of these small Queens because its Five kicker and suited flush potential add a direct draw or useful pair equity. It is still dominated by Q6s+ when it makes top pair. Use it mainly in late-position opens or priced big-blind defenses.

Flop classes

Four-card flush draw

With Q♠5♠, two other spades on the flop create a legal four-card flush draw with no hole-card duplicate. Higher spades can still dominate it.

Queen-high top pair

Top pair with a Five kicker is vulnerable. Control the pot and fold to large bets.

Open-ended straight draw

With Q♠5♠, 6-7-8 supplies 5-6-7-8, an open-ended straight draw to a Five or Nine.

Complete miss

Q5s holds only queen-high on T♣ 7♦ 2♥. Without a real draw, check back and fold to a turn bet.

Strategic notes

Versus 3-bets

Call selectively or fold: Continue with position, a clear price, and enough depth to realize the flush draw.
Fold to large out-of-position 3-bets: A weak Queen pair is not enough to continue.

Versus 4-bets

Fold: Q5s should fold to a standard 4-bet. Its flush potential does not justify continuing with a weak kicker.
