Flop classes

Four-card flush draw

With Q♠2♠, this flop supplies two more spades and therefore a legal four-card flush draw. Continue against suitable sizing, but remember that higher spades can dominate the flush.

Queen-high top pair

Top pair with a Deuce kicker is a bluff-catcher against strong action. Keep the pot controlled and fold to pressure from a tight range.

Wheel gutshot

With Q♠2♠, A-4-3 gives a gutshot to the wheel through the Deuce. Continue only with a good price or backdoor suit support.

Complete miss

Q2s on K♦ 9♣ 5♥ has queen-high and no immediate draw, so take the free card and abandon it to pressure.

Strategic notes

Versus 3-bets

Call selectively or fold: Continue only with position, sufficient stack depth for the flush potential, and a favorable price.
Fold without a plan: A weak Queen pair is not a reason to defend a large 3-bet, particularly out of position.

Post-flop playability

Value the suit precisely: Two hole cards and two cards of the same suit on the flop make a legal four-card flush draw. Do not call it a made flush draw when only one hole card matches.
Control Queen pairs: Top pair has a weak kicker. Check and call smaller bets more often than betting three streets for value.
Use position and depth: In position, backdoor and four-card flush draws can realize more often. Deep out-of-position pots need stronger draws or two pair before committing many chips.
