Low suited connector
Four-Three Suited
43s is a low connector with more straight coverage than 32s, but its gap to 54s changes the useful boards. It is mainly a late-position steal or a Big Blind defend with the right price. It rarely wants to build a pot preflop without a specific range and sizing conditions.

It is too fragile for routine early-position opens. with depth for suited draws.
Its low cards alone do not justify a 3-bet.
Position after the flop matters more than 43s's nominal connectivity.
Do not turn a speculative defend into an automatic jam. a short-stack chart includes it without costly ICM pressure.
Its weak pairs and low flushes create costly reverse implied odds. shallow stack with little room.
Strong against

42s shares the Four but has the weaker kicker, making a dominated pair that can still pay 43s.
Weak against

45s45s shares the Four with the better kicker, so 43s can make a costly second-best pair.
Flop classes

On 7♣ 6♦ 5♥, 43s makes the seven-high straight 3-4-5-6-7.

On A♦ 5♣ 2♥, 43s makes the five-high wheel A-2-3-4-5. It is a made straight, not a gutshot.

On 9♠ 7♦ 2♠, 4♠ 3♠ has a flush draw, not a backdoor flush draw, because two hole-card spades and two board spades are already visible.
Strategic notes
- Fold against most 3-bets. A low suited connector needs a favorable price and enough depth to recover when it makes a second-best draw.
- A Big Blind defend can continue at the right price, but a call from out of position against a strong range is not automatic.
- 43s can flop a made low straight or a gutshot toward a straight. Identify the exact missing rank before treating a connected texture as a draw.
- A flop with this texture gives 43s a gutshot to a straight through a five. It is not open-ended.
- A flop with this texture gives a backdoor straight route and a backdoor flush route only when the hole-card suit matches the two spades. It is not a made flush draw with one matching card.
